PRIOR TO MSU:  Jess played for Team Illinois, Chicago Chill, and Chicago Mission.

PERSONAL:  Jess has been playing hockey since she was 6...she participated in Illinois state camps and in 1999 placed 3rd at nationals...in addition to hockey, she played softball in high school...she is studying kinesiology at MSU and plans to become a physical therapist...Jess has a brother, Josh, who is a student at Western Michigan, and she is the daughter of Mitch Berg.
